The Title Company
Once you are approved and the appraisal is complete, the Title
Company or escrow agent takes over.
They work closely with you, your agent and lender to be
certain everything is complete, all tests are performed, and the
lender's package is ready.
What You'll Need
On the day of closing, you will need the following items:
- Money for down payment;
- A one-year Home Owners Policy for Hazard Insurance with
paid receipt;
- Closing costs as determined by the Title Company, or
escrow agent;
- Driver's license.
You must bring your money in the form of a certified bank
check. Title companies and escrow agents are prohibited by state
law from accepting personal checks.
