A normal listing term is 6 months for residential and 12 months
for commercial or vacant land. A Realtor then will place your
property into the Multiple Listing System so every agent in the
county will have information about your home and they can share
it with their qualified buyers.
Once you have made the decision to sell your home, expect
your life to change. If you decide to sell your home yourself,
your time away from the house will be limited. You will need to
be available for incoming calls during days, evenings and
weekends, and if both the sellers work this can be an
inconvenience.
If you let a Realtor sell your home they can take care of all
these calls, schedule appointments and even show your home while
you work.
Advertising Your Home
You must make every attempt to get buyers into your
home. Unfortunately a person selling their home on their own,
have only a few forms of advertising. They can place a sign in
front of their home or run an ad in the newspaper. Realtors have
many different avenues such as; Internet, web-sites, newspaper,
radio, television, local homes guides and mass mailings. These
are all areas the buyers are looking in. |
