Prepare a Written Offer
Now that you have found a home you like, the next step is to
make an offer of purchase to the homeowners.
Your realtor will help prepare a proposal to buy the home
that you like. The offer will include the price, as well as the
terms, conditions and contingencies of the sale. The written
offer will also help to protect you in the event you are unable
to proceed with the purchase.
Don't Forget the Details!
Many things can be done with an offer. You can ask for a Home
Inspection, a Well/Septic Inspection or Survey. Your realtor can
help you determine the closing date, possession date, and the
items that will be included in the sale price.
Remember that by making an offer, you are presenting a
written contract to the homeowners. Be sure to review this
document carefully and ask any questions you may have before
submitting the offer. After all, you want to present the seller
with the best offer possible and get it accepted!
